Carterton Cycling Group A mixed group of E-bikers and what are known amongst fellow riders as, ‘leg bikers’ (on mountain bikes, road bikes and touring bikes). We ride on Wednesday mornings (and sometimes Saturdays), have an informal membership of about 22 cyclists and an average turnout of 8 - 12 riders (on a fine day). Our goal is getting people out on bikes and having a fun ride, so if you want some company and encouragement, come and join us at 9am on Wednesdays. We meet on the roadside opposite Howard Booth Park, in Belvedere Road, Carterton. The group caters for different levels of cycling experience and we vary our distances. Oh, and we always end with coffee! If you would like to know more, phone Irene on 027 6349167, or Lesley on 021 2996389.
Greytown Lions Cycling Without Age Chapter The Cycling Without Age movement started in 2012 in Denmark. The aim is to help elderly get out and enjoy the fresh air. In Greytown, CWA operates an e-Trishaw with volunteer pilots operating every day of the week. Primarily we provide rides to the residents of our two care facilities in the town, but we do also accommodate the elderly and less able members of the community living in their own homes.
